We all share similar interests, such as outdoor and fitness activities, volunteering, and traveling. Most of our team mates have partnered on a local Habitat for Humanity build at least once, but we do have a couple of folks who are new to the Habitat experience. I hope this trip inspires them to stay engaged, ignites a passion for creating a world where everyone has a decent place to live and feel like a part of our worldwide Habitat family.
As the month winds down, we'll be busy finalizing travel arrangements, getting vaccinated (definitely for Yellow Fever), and taking inventory of what to pack for the trip. I've decided to work on a few short videos and e-newsletters on tips and tricks for packing and traveling internationally. I will begin working on those this week.
If you're a team member, you already have access to our itineraries, hotel information, packing list and more on our password-protected team member pages. Please take advantage of this resource and also refer to the Volunteer Manual you received from the Global Village department at Habitat International. These are available to help you plan for the trip and make it a memorable and rewarding experience.
